Arranger's ToolTM Supplementary Software and Publications

Arranger's Tool is basically a workbench for developing harmonizations. To produce a finished arrangement will generallly require that you create a MIDI file in Arranger's Tool and move it to a notation or sequencing program for final editing and printing. There are many of these programs available ranging in price from free to several hundred dollars.

Here are two inexpensive programs with which we have some experience:

Power Tracks Pro Audio from PGMusic is a great value as a sequencer, but has only rudimentary notation and printing capabilities. It will print the parts and, with track merging, print out the complete composition in two staves.

Cakewalk Home Studio 2002 from Cakewalk is still basically a sequencer, but has considerably more notation capability.

To check out some of the numerous other programs, search - music notation software - in Google for an extensive list of suppliers.

You may wish to do some reading on the subject of harmonization. Here are a few sites listing some of the many books on the subject from different points of view.
